“Sentieri di libertà” my travelling exibit starts from Ulassai

Together with Andalas de Amistade’s manager we selected 30 images from my reportage in Ogliastra during the two editions of “Sentieri di Libertà” literally “Paths of Freedom”.

Sentieri di libertà is a convention of Trekking therapy for mental deseas, a moment when I had the priviledge of meeting great persons and new friends both among patients and doctors.

From Ulassai the exibit will move to various places in Sardinia and will also cross the sea towards peninsular Italy (to the continent, as it’s used to say here in Sardinia).
Hopefully it will finally land to Trieste.

Two brand new Holistic visions

They had been in my mind for a long time: the New York one was almost ready, the Venice one was just in my mind. A photograph made last winter and kept aside in order to create a Holistic Vision with it.
Then, yesterday I suddenly felt the necessity of finishing these two works: they were both ready some hours later. By the way I already know it: inspiration often comes suddenly, without warning.

Silenzi is a project started in 1999 as a survey on the landscape of south-west Sardinia.
The heritage of South-West Sardinia mining epics is a huge silent legacy made of treasures and poison,
unemployment and resources,
ideas, hopes, bureaucracy.

SILENCES was born thanks to Stefano Rachel, Carlo Porrà and Mario Massa: these magic musicians composed and played the soundtrack expressly for this video.

Zurich – Technopark

I was at Technopark of Zurich for Wordcamp Switzerland: two days of conferences and meetings among WordPress developers and users.
The welcome opportunity was offered to me by Cyberchimps who awarded this site in a competition for the best use done starting from their WordPress themes.

During the lunch break I seized it and made some quick picture of the interiors of the Zurich – Technopark.

The asphodel

It is not the rashness, but the absolute lively indifference to lead the asphodel to grow in the middle of the road.

I feel uneasy, the asphodel doesn’t.

Walking on the hills in front of Cagliari I suddenly noticed this asphodel flower growing in the middle of a road traveled by sporadic cars.

I immediately hit the precariousness of its position. Inside my heart admiration melted with anxiety for that beautiful flower that could have been destroyed in any moment by a passing car.
I remember perfectly my reasoning, the attention I paid in framing and exposing this picture in order to fix my disquietude. Something was missing, anyway, something that lead this picture to lie long.
I’ve retrieved this picture after more than three years.

Like sand grains

The point is that Landscape is made of details.

Similarly to a beach, made of an infinite moltitude of sand grains, different in colour, caliber, shape, each of which contributes to the formation of a harmonious whole, Landscape is a sum of natural and man-made details.

Everybody play a big or small role in the formation of Landscape, each one for the detail that concerns him, for that detail where he or she is called or authorized to act.
